The health care industry’s reputation for introducing innovative breakthroughs which have positively impacted millions is well-known to many. However, despite such revolutionary innovations, millions of people do not have access to basic health care facilities. The scenario is more severe in Asia and its developing countries, out of which Bangladesh can be considered as an apt example of this reality.
It is thus important to discuss methods of improving and in fact transforming our digital health care infrastructure and ways to shape its future. Advanced methods such as that of machine learning and mobile technology will be playing a significant role in this transformation. Artificial Intelligence based preventive health care initiatives to reduce health risks, enable preventive healthcare and its management and address non-communicable diseases, like hypertension, diabetes as well as neural diseases like Strock, Parkinson, depression, etc. are imperative to this transformation. Alongside improving health care, providing such preventive opportunities at affordable rates remains as a vital issue in order to facilitate its mass adoption.
